When can we view Plas Isaf? Plas Isaf is an exclusive venue, and therefore viewing is by appointment only. We also have regular Open Days and Open Evenings, please keep an eye on the website for details.


What does exclusive venue mean? Plas Isaf will only host one wedding a day, there will be no other guests or members of the public wondering around your wedding.


How many people can we have in the civil ceremony? We can sit up to 150 guests for the civil ceremony


How many people can sit in the barn for dinner? We can sit up to 110 guests in the barn for the wedding breakfast.


How many people can we have in the marquee? We can sit up to 320 guests in the marquee for the wedding breakfast.

Do we need to arrange our own caterers? No, Plas Isaf have a full catering team on site, who can sit and discuss with you any ideas that you may have. Outside caterers are not permitted.


Can we bring our own Wedding Cake? Yes, your traditional wedding cake can be brought to Plas Isaf before the wedding. We have a square and round stand for it to stand on and knife. It will sit on a table in the barn or marquee. It will then be served at agreed time. We do require a signed waiver for the cake.


Can we bring alternative wedding cake? Any other type of celebration food cannot be brought into Plas Isaf. If you would like for example a cake made of cheese, we are able to provide this. Please ask the management team for details.


Do we need to arrange a bar? No, Plas Isaf has a fully stocked bar, we can bring in any drinks that you  want to request for your guests.


When does the bar close? Last orders are called at 11.55pm, and bar closes at 12pm. We reserve the right to close bar earlier due to any unforeseen circumstances.


When does the bar open if were having a civil ceremony? The bar will open an hour before the ceremony for guests to enjoy the wonderful surroundings. Drinks are not to taken from bar area during civil ceremony.


Are we able to bring our own wines? You are able to bring your own wines, these are subject to a corkage charge. Take a look at our drinks packages.


Can we have a meal the evening before the wedding? Yes, if you are staying with us the evening before the wedding, we can provide an evening meal for you and your guests so that you can make the most of your time here.  Minimum guests 20. Evening Meal PDF


Can we decorate the barn? All decorations need to be discussed with the management beforehand. No electrical equipment unless PAT tested, and prior consent given. Dressing the tables can be done before the wedding if confirmed with the management team within the standard hire of the barn from 11am -1am on the day of the wedding, additional hire for decorating is available please discuss with management team.


Can we put up bunting or fairy lights to decorate the venue? Any bunting or fairy lights put up in the barn or marquee must be put up by Plas Isaf team, charges apply, we have bunting and fairy lights available for hire.


Can we throw Confetti? We have a spot in the garden where photographs with confetti can be taken, this must be biodegradable or flower petals, but not inside the barn, please confirm with Helen and Liza.


Do you have a PA System? We have a full PA system throughout the barn and marquee, and a wireless microphone. The PA system is available for background music through the wedding breakfast and for the civil ceremony music. It is not suitable for the entertainment, and this must be arranged separately, you can book our in-house DJ.


Do you provide disco lights? We don’t have disco lights at the barn, however these are available for hire with our in-house DJ.


Can we have live music at the venue? Yes we welcome bands and musicians in the barn, we ask that they can provide public liability and certificates for any electrical equipment. This must be provided before the event.


Which florist can we use? You can use any florist, but we do prefer that our in-house florist who knows the barn inside out is used and creates wonderful displays, they are extremely competitive. Contact Tulipa


Can we have fireworks? Yes, you can have fireworks, but they must be provided by professional company, we have contact details available for recommended suppliers. 


Can we bring the photographer or florist along beforehand to see the venue? Yes, contact Helen or Liza to arrange this. Appointments must be made.


Would we need insurance? We suggest that you take out wedding insurance. Any outside suppliers, i.e. Photographers, florists, bands etc. would need to provide us with a copy of their public liability insurance.


Can we park our cars over night? We have a huge car park at Plas Isaf, cars can be left overnight at owners risk.


Can our guests arrive by bus? Yes buses can come up to the barn, please ask the bus company to contact us.


Is VAT included? Yes, VAT is included in the prices quoted. (VAT: Value Added Tax)


Can the bride get ready at Plas Isaf? We have a changing room available with private facilities on site this needs to be pre booked and is subject to availability.


Can our guests get changed at the venue? The barn has a cloak room available for guests to change. If your guests require access before the wedding commences please let us know to expect them.


What time is Check in & Check Out for the accommodation? Our rooms are of a very high standard and it takes time to keep them this way, therefore rooms are not available to check into until 3.00 p.m. Please go to Plas Isaf reception to collect keys for Plas Isaf house and Rhydlwyd. Unfortunately check in will not be possible during wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast. On the day of departure we kindly ask all guests to vacate their rooms by 11 am at Plas Isaf and Rhydlwyd.


Is the accommodation included in the venue hire? We have wonderful accommodation available for you and your guests, please see the accommodation page, it is not however included in the venue hire. The accommodation at Plas Isaf and  Rhydlwyd are booked separately, entry to the accommodation is for residents only. Photographers are not allowed within the accommodation.

We are having an open day and wedding fayre in October 2017,date to be confirmed, this will be an opportunity for you to see the barn and marquee set up for different wedding breakfast styles and the civil ceremony. Also the florist, photographer and many more suppliers will be around for you to talk to and gather ideas. We would love to see you there xxx
